For the past ten years, I have served the board of St. Davids Christian Writers’ Conference. In 2017 I followed in the footsteps of many who have come before me to direct this small conference for Christian writers.
Founded in 1957, St. Davids has become a great place for writers to come and expand their writing skills. New writers are paired with experienced writers in our Timothy program, and with our small, intimate, family-oriented atmosphere, there is plenty of opportunity to meet and converse with other writers in all stages of their writing journeys. There is no pressures of needing to pitch your work if you’re not ready, and we offer free writing contest to our attendees to help give them the encouragement and support needed to further their writing journey.
With top authors like Eva Marie Everson, Cindy Sproles, Jim Watkins, and Doc Hensley, first time conferees learn in small group settings, network with other authors, and find growth and encouragement that will prepare them to transition to larger conferences down the road.
